2nd Annual Trash Walk/Event

Come and take part in the 2nd annual Trash Walk/Event on April 21st from 10-3PM. We will be meeting at the Ruins Park at 10AM to walk around the park and the town to pick up trash. We will then head back to the Ruins Park where 3Dollar Suit with Jenny Pickel, Indian Summer Jars, Jim Kono and Jake Matthew Rivers will be sharing their music with us, lots of unique vendors, face painting, food and Wyndridge Farms will be there with their ciders and beer and the Riders of the Glen Rock American Legion will be selling food. Simply Local will be holding a children’s activity up at their shop. Let’s celebrate earth day by giving back!!

Glen Rock Arts & Brew Fest 5K and 1 Mile Family Fun Run

Come one, come all for the 4th annual Glen Rock Arts & Brew Fest 5K and 1 Mile Family Fun Run.  Runners will navigate a charming neighborhood course through the Borough that features historic landmarks such as the Christmas Star, the statue of our town founders and world-renowned Glen Rock Caroler Singers, the historic movie theater, and, of course, the Glen Rock Mill Inn and Ruins Park.  All proceeds will benefit the ALS Association Greater Philadelphia Chapter. Registration begins at 7:30 and the runs kick off at 8am.  Parking will be available at Ruins Park and the Glen Rock Mill Inn.   After the race, get ready for the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge!  And don’t forget to wear red to show your support for the fight against ALS. Community Movie Night

Join us for our 3rd 2018 Community Movie Night on Friday, August 10: Moana.    Show starts at dark.  Games and kids activities before the movie, including a costume contest, with prizes for the top 3 costumes!  Judging is at 8pm, so show us your best Moana costumes! Popcorn and food will be available for purchase courtesy of the Glen Rock American Legion Riders #403.  Beer and soft drinks will be available for purchase from the Glen Rock Mill Inn, so please, no outside food or drink.  Entry is free but we suggest a donation of $5/couple and $10/family to help fund movie nights and support future events. We’re also partnering with Coats of Friendship, a non-profit organization run by local elementary kids, aiming to make the world a warmer place through doing things for people in need.  Their goal for 2018 is to distribute 3000 coats, and we want to help them reach their goal.  When you come to movie night, bring along any unwanted coats, and the kids from Coats of Friendship will be on hand to collect them.  Learn more about this group of amazing local kids at Coats of Friendship. Live Arts Weekend

Live Arts Weekend is a family friendly 2-day event showcasing local and regional artists with musical performances, painting, dancing, and inspiration for all ages and abilities! Bluegrass Harvest Festival

Join us at Ruins Park September 22 from 12–5 pm as we celebrate the one genre of music that encapsulates Glen Rock and Southern York County at our annual Bluegrass Harvest Festival! This event not only offers you the chance to hear musicians from all over the region, it also helps to support the community through your food donations to support The Well. The Well is a local non-profit organization that serves as a food bank and community outreach for families in Glen Rock and the surrounding areas. “Baltimore Book of the Dead” Book Launch Party

“If Ruins Park had been here ten years ago, I might never have left,” says our former homegirl Marion Winik, author of “The Glen Rock Book of the Dead,” and that is why she has chosen to celebrate the launch of her sequel, “The Baltimore Book of the Dead,” on October 6th, by coming back for a visit! Enjoy live music by members of Vinyl Souls and a reading or two from the new book. Admission is free, so are snacks, and you’ll be able to purchase beer and wine. Rumble in the Ruins Fall Car Show
